Meet Dr. Eric Kenney
Growing up in the heart of Iowa City and completing all of my dental training at University of Iowa, I’ve been an unwavering Hawkeyes enthusiast. My journey towards dentistry was profoundly shaped by my own pediatric dentist, who later became my mentor. Through her guidance, she revealed to me the remarkable impact that dentistry can have, especially when you have the opportunity to work hands-on and genuinely transform lives. During my years at the University of Iowa’s dental school, my passion for pediatric dentistry deepened significantly. To me, it’s not just about the clinical procedures; it’s about being a guide for children, helping them navigate their emotions and anxieties, ultimately turning what could be daunting dental visits into profoundly positive and empowering experiences.
What truly ignites my dedication is the opportunity to nurture confidence in young patients while instilling a lifelong commitment to oral health. I hold a profound commitment to ensuring that every child and their family depart from my clinic with radiant smiles, establishing a solid foundation for a lifetime of impeccable oral hygiene. This mission is not just a professional calling but a personal passion that drives me daily.
Beyond the clinic, I’m an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys activities like golfing, biking, and hiking. Sports have always been an integral part of my life, from my fervor for football (go Chiefs!!) and baseball to engaging in bowling, track, soccer, and basketball. On the indoor front, I find joy in indulging my guilty pleasure of gaming on my computer or Playstation 5. Sharing my life’s journey is my incredible girlfriend, Randi, an Iowa grad and a dedicated physician assistant. Together, we cherish our roles as the “fun” aunt and uncle, especially during our annual family vacations with our five energetic nieces and nephews.
